What sorts of results do you get?
Pretty good.

Recent successes include
--correcting a mismatch between the pricing and marketing message of a new business and its target market, resulting in 40% greater net profits each month
--doubling revenues at one company in six months
--discovering how one CEO could have 34 weeks of vacation while earning 20% more annually
--shaving 17% off fixed costs and freeing up six months of labor hours per year at one firm and
--identifying a new product line that has a 94% conversion (buy) rate among customers

I just need some help with marketing. Can you do that?
We could, but we won’t, at least not until we’re sure that marketing alone will solve your problem.

Here’s why: all the parts of your business are connected, and all must be strong if you are to reach your financial, time-freedom and personal goals. Many times marketing is not the main difficulty.

For example, one business owner who was certain that all he needed was a marketing campaign turned out to need

--help clarifying the roles he and his partner play in the business
--a means of establishing accountability for those roles
--analysis of what the most profitable lines of business were based on both time spent and profit margins
--a way to track financial progress toward his goals
--firm contractual language to spell out deadlines for customer participation in projects
--corresponding payment schedules to increase cash flow
--a plan to keep in touch with customers to ensure their satisfaction and to stimulate referrals and testimonials
   --considerable help with time management
   --and a marketing campaign.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about executive coaching. Is that what you do?
There are elements of executive coaching in what we do—we will offer you encouragement, work with you to set goals and hold you accountable for progress toward them—but most coaches do not offer direct advice about how to run your business. We do.

We also use gentle dynamite when encouragement doesn’t work.

I want to hear your ideas about how to change my business, but I’m not sure I have time to tackle them yet. Can I get some ideas and hold onto them until I’m ready to use them?
No. We work with people who are serious about getting their businesses in excellent running order and attaining the financial and personal goals they set for themselves. Action toward those goals is the number one differentiator between people who reach them and those who do not. If you wait, your competitors often will move into the territory you plan to conquer…someday.

What size businesses do you work with?
A typical business might have revenues of $.5 to $5 million. However, we’ve also worked with one-person startups with virtually no revenue and with companies with $30 million in revenue. The principles that will move your business forward are the same.

Do you specialize in certain industries?
No. The principles that will move your business forward are the same across industries. That said, we have less experience in manufacturing and heavy industry and somewhat more in technology, specialized information publishing, financial services, creative fields and consulting.
